Responsibilities:
- Serving as a subject matter expert, this role will serve as a resource for operations employees, fostering excellence in manufacturing operations.
- Conduct on-the-job training related to area's core functional operations to ensure employee is competent to perform their assigned tasks.
- Support operations by providing training for new and existing members through classroom and 1:1 training.
- Present information using a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, or lecture.
- Make suggestions, design, and develop training material (procedures, OPLs, Work Instructions or other materials) to meet learning objectives.
- Works with other training team members and department leads to create courses (SCORM) in the LMS including learning validations (quizzes).
- Collaborate with other subject matter experts to teach/learn additional programs and provide idea sharing and feedback.
- Review ongoing employee skill level performance, identify gaps and complete skills assessments.
- Work with L&D Admin and L&D Business Partner to monitor training delinquency and forecast in assigned work area to ensure that all training is current, and manufacturing associates remain compliant regarding training requirements.
- Maintain manufacturing process/product knowledge by periodically supporting production.
- Participate in first run meetings, changeovers, and starts ups to ensure adherence to processes and maintain current standards in future trainings.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of training, developing and onboarding employees.
- 3+ years plant manufacturing experience in a food industry or related manufacturing facility.
- Demonstrated leadership and team development skills. Can build a positive and productive team environment.
- The ability to read, write, speak, and understand English is required.
- Possess strong one-on-one communication skills.
- Demonstrates the ability to meet the information needs of the team through regular and effective communication and follow-up.
- Ability to effectively multi-task job responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Very strong administrative and planning skills.
- Knowledge of administrative processes, systems and procedures for area of responsibility.
- Positive, respectful, high energy, team focused, and motivating personality with the team and across functions.
- Team player able to work well with others and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Ability to remain calm, apply good judgment and decision making under pressure.
- Ability to effectively troubleshoot a variety of issues (assess a situation, identify the cause, and determine potential solutions).
- Experience and ability to use Microsoft suite of products including Excel
- Available and flexible to work overtime as needed to support the team and the business needs.
- Strong record of performance in the areas of attendance, safety, quality, and productivity.
- High school diploma/GED required; post-secondary education preferred.
Hours, Location and Pay: We offer a competitive base pay rate and comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees. This position works at our Neenah, WI manufacturing facility Tuesday - Friday, 5:30am - 3:30pm with the ability to adjust hours as needed for business needs. Physical and Mental Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, hear, use hands to type data, use a personal computer and telephone. This employee may occasionally have to operate business machines and lift and/move up to 50 pounds.
