We are seeking an experienced Design for Manufacturing Architect Manager to lead strategic global programs and our NPI Manufacturing Engineering team for the Digital Solutions business. As a highly visible leader reporting to the Sr. Operations Director, the ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background with 10+ years of experience in the design and manufacture of adaptable modular designs with team leadership experience. This critical role will work closely with leaders from the business unit, engineering and ISC to drive product design, sourcing and manufacturing decisions to enable a new level of product modularity and manufacturing efficiency.
WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION: - Lead the global NPI Manufacturing Engineering staff of 9 in driving standards, requirements and execution of modular designs and manufacturing efficiency. - Lead global multi-functional teams to integrate modular designs into existing and new products. Act as the influential point of contact for all levels of the organization to establish cohesive DFM objectives. - Drive innovation and continuous improvement in modular design to improve product flexibility and scalability. - Provide technical expertise and guidance to the engineering team. - Work closely with engineering and supply chain to identify potential suppliers for core components, such as pumps, heat exchangers, sensors, electronics, connectors, valves etc.
YOU HAVE: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field required, Master's degree preferred - 10+ years proven experience with modular design and manufacturing. - Past transformational leadership experience comfortable operating at all levels of the organization - A positive change agent mindset able to transform ambiguous situations to concise roadmaps for all functional levels - Experience with complex cooling systems (HVAC, Liquid cooling distribution) preferred - Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and techniques. - Strong communication and leadership skills. - Experience with CAD software and other design tools preferred WE HAVE:
Pay Transparency
nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
Compensation Range: $123,500.00 - $229,500.00
