Salary:

FUCHS offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience in a similar position. The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000 per year, but actual salary will vary depending upon a new hire's experience and qualifications as well as internal equity.



Your areas of responsibility:

The Process Engineer will be responsible for leading projects to improve manufacturing efficiency of our specialty lubricants/ com-pounds.



  • Oversee major projects within the Engineering department.
  • Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication and materials as well as soliciting observations from technicians.
  • Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements while researching, designing, modifying and testing manufacturing methods.
  • Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements and equipment layout.
  • Assure product and process quality by designing and evaluating testing methods, testing finished product and process capa-bilities.
  • Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor and material costs and estimating future requirements.
  • Review and evaluate new process procedures and documentation.
  • Aid in the qualification of new equipment and procedures.
  • Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
  • Coordinate with the quality department to implement new products and procedures.
  • Perform PFD's (Process Flow Diagrams) and P&ID's (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) for required equipment.
  • Aid in batch costing operations.
  • Maintain an efficient and safe working environment for all employees.
  • Ensure compliance to all state and federal regulations and design/implement effective preventative maintenance programs to reduce all downtime, including the auditing of safety systems.
  • Prepare reports as needed to ensure compliance to all state and federal laws.
  • Collaborate with various departments to maintain mechanical integrity of all plant programs.
  • Analyze all equipment requirements and assist in requisition of all tools and equipment
  • Resolve all maintenance issues and recommend improvements to same if required.
  • Review and recommend improvements to SOP procedures and perform troubleshoot on all plant activities and resolve all is-sues and operations manager to implement all changes.
  • Provide an efficient interface with all automation and validation processes and provide training to all engineers and mechan-ics.
  • Recommend and implement capital projects designed to improve the reliability and productivity of the facility
  • Provide an efficient interface with engineering department to evaluate all upcoming capital projects and analyze all new and existing equipment and layouts.
  • Coordinate and direct the activities of all 3rd party contractors performing work at the Huntington site




Qualifications we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical engineering
  • 5+ years industrial mechanical maintenance experience
  • Understanding of engineering concepts and approaches
  • 5+ years of leadership experience
  • Previous project management experience and exceptional organizational
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic, time constrained environment
  • Ability to read and complete basic mathematical functions
  • Proven track record developing and maintaining preventative maintenance programs
  • Ability to troubleshoot process equipment including control systems
  • Experience working with and directing activities of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC contractors
  • Blackmer, Viking, Gorman-Rupp pump experience helpful
