Logistics Lead- Week Day

We're looking for a dedicated and experienced Lead Warehouse Person to join our team at the RDC located at 103 Kindig Lane on the Week Day Shift. The required work shift is Monday-Thursday 5:30AM-5:30PM with overtime on weekends as needed. In this role, you'll provide key support to the Week Day Shift Logistics Supervisor, ensuring smooth operations throughout the shift. You'll also have the opportunity to step in as the acting supervisor when needed. Key Responsibilities

• Support the daily operations by retrieving, organizing, and distributing outbound shipment mail bags for distribution centers.
• Ensure trailer and door assignments are correct for timely deliveries.
• Assist loaders, pickers, and conveyor operators to optimize shift efficiency.
• Investigate, document, and report any incidents during the shift.
• Confirm and ensure the accuracy of finished orders in the system.
• Monitor trailer shortages and work to resolve issues.
• Ensure 100% cube utilization for all outbound trailers during the shift.
• Unload/load conveyor systems, organize products into storage, and scan items into inventory.
• Train and guide associates on warehouse operations and safety procedures.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Be flexible to cover other shifts as needed in the event of supervisor absence.
• Spend most of the time on the floor, supervising and supporting assigned staff.
• Perform physical inventories as required.
• Work collaboratively with diverse teams across the facility.
• Ensure quality and food safety standards are met within your position.

Requirements:

• Extensive forklift experience, including High Reach or the willingness to learn
• Experience with loading and shipping operations, and the ability to plan and execute daily shipping schedules.
• Strong supervisory skills to lead and coordinate teams effectively.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and the ability to learn warehouse systems.
• Ability to obtain and retain a forklift license.
• Ability to work proactively in a team-oriented environment.
• Flexibility to take on additional responsibilities when needed.
