Student Intern - Health Plan Network

Summary:

A meaningful educational experience for a college student to gain valuable experience in their field of study; while accomplishing tasks and completing projects in an enriching environment. The Intern will gain networking opportunities that include interactions with CHRISTUS leaders and Associates. The Intern will be provided with a variety of projects to support learning objectives in CHRISTUS Health Plan Network Documentation Integrity team.

Responsibilities:


  • Assist in various projects within the NDI department
  • Identify gaps in Risk Adjustment data analytics and reporting
  • Support reporting pertaining to performance metrics
  • Collaborate with other departments to address global issues and resolve in prompt manner
  • Process Improvement: Assisting in the identification of areas where operations could be streamlined or automated, potentially helping the team become more efficient.
  • Provide regular progress updates, flagging potential concerns or roadblocks to senior team members.
  • Coordinate travel or calendars as needed.
  • Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.

Requirements:

Experience:


  • At lease 2 years of college preparation towards major.

Education:


  • Currently enrolled in a College degree program in one of the following degree program; [Data Analysis, Business Administration, Health Administration, Information Systems, Public Health, Finance, Communications, Management, or something similar].
  • PC and Microsoft Office Skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively work with others.
  • Quick learner with attention to detail, high degree of confidentiality and solid organizational skills.
  • Needs to be resourceful, innovative and persuasive with ability to problem solve and troubleshoot.
