General Description: A Clinical Data Manager plays a crucial role in contributing to the overall clinical and compliant performance of the Care Management teams across the health continuum.They must have a good understanding of Care Management workflows, KPIs, goals, and strategies. They are responsible for managing the collection, organization, and analysis of Care Management program data, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting the overall success of the Care Management team. This role requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a deep understanding of data management principles and practices. Essential Responsibilities
- Partners with IT and other data sources to develop, oversee, and manage the entire data management process for the Care Management service line.
- Work with internal staff and external stakeholders on various projects related to improving the use of data to drive clinical and business outcomes.
- Collaborates with clinical teams to analyze performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement data management plans, ensuring they adhere to industry best practice standards and regulatory guidelines.
- In partnership with IT and other key stakeholders, design and validate electronic data capture systems or electronic data collection, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate with Care Management leaders, key stakeholders, and external vendors to support and improve Care Management KPI performance.
- Perform data cleaning and quality control activities, identifying and resolving data discrepancies or anomalies.
- Organize performance data from various sources to promote optimal Care Management KPI performance.
- Collaborate with IT and Quality programmers to generate reports, tables, and graphs for Care Management reports.
- Participates in workflow development or changes to design solutions to meet key initiatives.
- Support data validation and availability activities for regulatory submissions and audits.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements within Care Management.
- Works with CM teams and other key stakeholders to identify new opportunities along with solutions.
- Provides leadership and guidance to define data and workflow requirements that will optimize outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in related healthcare field. A master's degree is preferred. Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in clinical care management role preferably in hospital healthcare system. License, Certification: None required. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Thorough understanding of Care Management processes that drive data outcomes
- Familiarity with industry-standard Care Management data management tools and software.
- Knowledge of regulatory guidelines and requirements related to clinical data management.
- Ability to compile and organize Care Management outcomes for presentations to professional audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to independently manage work and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to present to large audiences.
- Ability to define, prioritize, and execute projects in support of the strategic plans
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve data discrepancies.
- Strong organizational and project management skills to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements, including Medicare CoPs, Medicare Billing Requirements, and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations.
- Strong ethical and professional conduct to ensure data privacy and confidentiality.
