About Us

Sunstar Engineering Americas (SEA), a highly successful manufacturer of automotive adhesives, sealants, and coating products, is seeking an experienced individual to join our team.

About the Position

Responsible for performing quality testing on in-process batches, finished product, raw materials, and/or customer samples in a timely manner. Ensuring that the laboratory meets specified requirements, and for keeping laboratory testing up to date. Performs duties with supervision. Overtime as required by Manager.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare and test samples of products and raw materials according to procedures.
  • Identify and resolve non-standard results, coordinating with supervisors and engineers.
  • Ensure equipment is clean, calibrated, and in good working condition.
  • Support instrument validation, calibration activities, and maintain records.
  • Document test results clearly using SEA LIMS and MS365 applications.
  • Create labels for materials and samples, ensuring proper identification and hazardous communication.
  • Participate in APQP projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized lab environment to uphold hygiene and safety standards.



Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or related field, with 2 years of lab experience or equivalent education.
  • Strong technical aptitude, math and reading skills, and proficiency in Microsoft software products.
  • Requires standing for extended periods and handling physical tasks (lifting up to 50 pounds, pushing/pulling carts up to 1,200 pounds).
  • Requires specific vision abilities, including close vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
  • Exposure to environmental factors like fumes, airborne particles, mechanical parts, vibration, and loud noise levels.
