At AC Hotels, connecting with our guests, catering to their "on-the-go" lifestyle and helping them feel the unique buzz of a new city depends upon a team of associates whose lifestyles and passions make them a great fit for the brand. We are currently seeking a Director of Rooms.

POSITION PURPOSE: Assist the Hotel General Manager in directing the Front Office and Housekeeping teams. They will help motivate staff to meet all service and productivity standards so that we can provide an outstanding guest experience. As well as help manage team members through staffing, training, discipline, scheduling, performance evaluation and special projects.

Salary starts at $75,000

Additional compensation: In addition to base compensation, this position is eligible for our annual performance-based bonus program. Both hotel and individual performance determine bonus potential, with specific goals outlined upon hire

Work Schedule: Primarily mid and 2nd shift

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Monitor guest satisfaction scores and respond to guest's concerns. Encourage and empower team members to resolve guest complaints. Provide support when needed. Lead initiatives to improve performance scores.
  2. Provide support and direction to other leaders across the hotel. Monitor business levels as it relates to scheduling, forecasting and budgeting. Constantly monitor staff performance and address concerns as they arise.
  3. Demonstrate strong cross departmental communication as an example for other leaders. Ensure current information on rates, packages and promotions is available to the front desk, and housekeeping areas.
  4. Assist all departments with anticipating and managing future business needs. Prepare a plan that leads all operating departments to success.
  5. Assist in the day to day operation of Front Desk and Housekeeping areas as required.
  6. Experience with FOSSE and UKG is advantageous.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Experience as a department leader is desired, preferably in Front Office or Housekeeping.
  2. Must exhibit professionalism and have a desire to lead by example.
  3. Experience working on special projects while balancing daily responsibilities.
  4. Training experience is desired.
