Job Summary Now hiring: English Faculty at GateWay Community College! This one-year-only (OYO) faculty position instructs students from various backgrounds and cultures in first-year composition, developmental writing, and other English courses in both traditional and non-traditional formats, including in person, hybrid, online, contextualized, and accelerated. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to student success, high impact practices, innovation, integrity, professional development, teaching excellence, and belonging for all learners. Essential Functions
Minimum Qualifications A Master's degree (or higher) in the teaching field, OR A Master's degree in any teaching field with 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching field Desired Qualifications A. Experience teaching six (6) or more sections of first year college composition courses within the last three (3) years B. Experience teaching two (2) or more semesters at a community college within the last three (3) years C. Experience teaching three (3) or more sections of online courses within the last three (3) years D. Experience teaching developing writers within the last three (3) years E. Graduate degree in Rhetoric and Composition or English Education Special Working Conditions
