POSITION SUMMARY:
As an Inventory Control Supervisor, you are responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of inventory control, including supervising staff, ensuring accurate records, and implementing procedures to optimize inventory levels and minimize costs.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise day-to-day activities of assigned department. Provide guidance and training to workforce to ensure production, supply chain and service goals are met. Meet scheduled commitments on a timely basis regarding month-end financial reporting, network project deliverables and inventory accuracy. Maintain positive employee relations, open communications while resolving employee discipline or performance issues. Maintain professional relationships with other departments within the network and corporate offices.

  • Reports and analyzes inventory inaccuracies and trends.
  • Assist Inventory Control Coordinator tasks of reconciling equipment and parts inaccuracies and research to find the root cause of inventory discrepancies.
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures and policies following best practices and policies.
  • Works with cross functional teams to rectify issues with inventory counts and leads the implementation of improvement processes.
  • Monitor and track inventory levels and ensure accurate records.
  • Leads team in regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential problems, and areas for improvement.
  • Manage inventory levels to meet customer demand and minimize stockouts or excess inventory.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on inventory levels, turnover, and other key metrics.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., purchasing, service, production) to ensure smooth inventory operations.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and issues.
  • Identify and implement solutions to improve inventory accuracy and control.
  • Confirm processes are run in accordance with SOP's, SOPP's and other documentation.
  • Meet ad-hoc customer requirements or to deal with unexpected Supply Chain disruptions
  • Develop, maintain, and empower a quality conscientious attitude among employees. Help identify long term opportunities and solutions for continuous improvement. Promote open communications between departments. Develop teamwork approach to teams.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders on Inventory Control best practices for various classes of inventory
  • On boards and manage new facilities inventory processes (Company Owned, Co-Manufacturing, 3PL, Overflow)
  • Develop value-added reporting to drive inventory accountability to the appropriate levels in the organization.
  • Supervise the research for daily, weekly, monthly inventory discrepancy management.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA / BS Degree in Logistics / Supply Chain or equivalent experience, SAP experience preferred.
  • 3 years progressive experience in a manufacturing warehouse environment preferred.
  • Previous supervisory/people leader responsibilities preferred.
  • Firm understanding of manufacturing production, logistics, and distribution processes.
