The Role:

Cognizant is looking for an experienced and innovative Senior Web UI Angular Developer w/AWS to serve our diverse base of global clients. As a member of our team, you will build innovative, cloud-based software that powers modern business. An ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in a diverse, collaborative, geographically distributed team. Similarly, the ideal candidate is an expert engineer who values the "team", drives continuous improvement and is unafraid to challenge the legacy status quo with creative cloud-based solutions.

Location: McLean, VA

Work Authorization
  • Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship (H-1B, L-1B, L-1A, etc.)
Responsibilities:
  • Extensive hands-on in Web UI development using Angular JavaScript, AWS and unit testing framework Jasmine and Karma.
  • Cloud experience - AWS (FARGATE, ECS, EC2, S3, R53, RDS, IAM, LAMBDA, VPC)
  • Good to have java programming and WebServices development experience.
  • Utilize programming languages like Node.js, Angular. Open-Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of AWS tools and services
  • Collaborate with and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies
  • Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, mentoring other members of the engineering community.
  • Collaborate with digital product managers and deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences to help millions of People achieve financial empowerment.
  • Effective Client communication
  • Should be able to work on both Frontend and Backend technologies like AngularJS and NodeJS
Qualifications: Must Have:
  • Overall software development experience is 7+ years
  • 6+ years of hands-on AngularJS development experience and 2+ years of working experience with AngularJS 11+
  • Experience in writing unit tests using Jasmine and Karma
  • 4+ years hands on experience on AWS ECS, EC2, Lambda, S3 and SQS
  • Experience in Agile practices.
  • Must be analytical, good team player and self-motivated
Preferred:
  • Experience in Financial Domain.
  • Handsome experience in Node.js, REST API, 12-factor microservice principles.
  • Experience in writing Node JS unit tests using Jest, Mocha
  • Handsome experience in Java
  • Experience in writing unit tests Junit, Mockito
  • Hands on experience in jQuery, Jscript
  • Hands on experience/Knowledge in AWS Fargate

The annual salary for this position is between $68,422- $114,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
