We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Program Director with 21 to 24 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in Portfolio & Project Management (PPM) and a strong background in Products Management Telecom and Billing & Revenue Management. This hybrid role requires excellent leadership and strategic planning skills to drive successful project outcomes. This role is based out of Dallas, TX as resource will be working with local client. Program Director will also be responsible for the following but not limited to: Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the planning execution and delivery of complex projects within the portfolio to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Provide strategic direction and guidance to project managers and teams to achieve project objectives and deliverables.
- Develop and implement comprehensive project management methodologies and best practices to enhance project performance and efficiency.
- Monitor and control project budgets timelines and resources to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope objectives and deliverables ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues developing contingency plans to address potential challenges.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment promoting continuous improvement and innovation.
- Ensure effective communication and reporting mechanisms are in place to keep stakeholders informed of project progress and status.
- Drive the adoption of Portfolio & Project Management (PPM) tools and techniques to enhance project visibility and control.
- Evaluate and prioritize project requests ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives and resource availability.
- Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to project managers and team members.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies procedures and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Leverage domain expertise in Products Management Telecom and Billing & Revenue Management to drive successful project outcomes.
Qualifications: a. Delivery Management * Drive delivery for the portfolio working closely with all SL's * Track and report delivery metrics to customer and internally * Build strong pool of SME and Architect for the portfolio b. Customer Stakeholder management * Align the delivery priorities of the portfolio customer VP with Cognizant delivery * Conduct MBR with Customer VP and direct reports to present the delivery updates * Work closely with Verizon Business teams on strategic initiatives and support GTS in delivering * Drive innovation for the domain and help improve the business metrics for the customer c. Delivery and operational excellence * Drive the engineering excellence with automation and GenAI to improve the productivity and deliver savings to customer/internal * Design and develop a suite of repeatable and scalable offerings that address critical client business outcomes * Manage the P&L for the portfolio and ensure the operational metrics are managed within the targets d. Thought leadership: * Define thought leadership & portfolio strategy, publish, work with the market team to support delivery led growth Required Qualifications:
- Functional knowledge: Understanding of Project management methodology, user centric design, and ability to generate, oversee actionable and impactful roadmap that effectively engages the customer to achieve strategic milestones for 15 plus years.
- Industry knowledge: Deep knowledge of Communications and Travel Domain is required.
- Delivery knowledge: Experience handling large scale business and digital transformation programs.
- Executive Presence: Effective executive communication skills to clearly articulate vision and lead effective teams across the enterprise; productively challenge counterparts, bringing valuable insights
- Relationship management: Outstanding interpersonal abilities; skilled in managing relationships with customer leadership and, effectively aligning stakeholders to strategic plans and mediating conflict
- Minimum 10+ years in senior leadership role
- Minimum 15+ years of complex program delivery experience, with broad technical experience
- Minimum 15+ years in in experience in functional/technology area, with applicable market standard certifications
- Experience working with onshore/offshore model.
- Bachelors in Computer Science and MBA required
This position will require candidates to be local and willingness to go onsite to client office 3 days a week. Occasionally travel will be involved to various client offices. Cognizant Technology Solutions will not be able to provide sponsorship now or in the future.
