The Role:

AMD is searching for a Business Operations Leader who will help define and drive our EPYC Datacenter CPU business operation strategy for the Enterprise Segment. As the leader of EHBG's Business Operations organization, your primary mission will be to develop strategies and plans to attain revenue and inventory goals, market share and product gross margin. You will drive ownership and accountability for the process and effectively communicate these plans to executive management and peer organizations (including but not limited to finance, supply chain, and sales). You will be reporting to the general manager of EHBG.

The Person:

The ideal candidate will possess a breadth of abilities and skills, including CPU product knowledge, server architecture awareness, strong marketing and presentation skills, solid understanding of customers' business, familiarity with server market dynamics, an ability to drive an efficient process that spans multiple stakeholders (sales, product, OEM/ODM planning teams), and strong team leadership skills. You must be self-driven and capable of operating autonomously. The applicant must be a team player with a commitment to meeting deadlines and an aptitude to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the execution of supply and demand processes from New Product Introduction (NPI) to Sustaining
  • Develop and manage comprehensive business plans for each customer, including volume, mix, ASP, revenue, margin, inventory levels, and market share
  • Monthly Operating Financial (MOF) plans covering 6 months
  • Annual Operating Plan (AOP) covering CY+1
  • Long Range Plan (LRP) covering 5 years
  • Drive the process for managing the multitude of funding activities (including, but not limited to, Marketing Development Funds and VIR) with customers, regions and partners, ensuring robust return-on-investment (ROI)
  • Formulate and implement high-impact operational strategies to drive business execution spanning current quarter through 18 months
  • Develop contingency plans and alternative strategies to address potential market shifts
  • Translate corporate operational goals into specific EHBG objectives and drive the organization to deliver successful outcomes
  • Communicate strategies and plans effectively to the executive team, skill in analyzing tradeoffs and making analytical, fact-based recommendations that have substantial business and financial impacts

Preferred Experience:

  • Proven senior leadership experience with a track record of success in a dynamic business planning or strategy role
  • Strong organizational abilities, capable of navigating and executing tasks across a large organization
  • Management & subject matter expert of internal business operations tools
  • Ability to swiftly develop effective strategies even with incomplete or imperfect datasets
  • Demonstrated success in relationship building and collaborating with sales, finance, supply chain, and other teams to achieve outstanding results
  • Executive level content creation for Business Unit meetings, monthly financial and leadership reports, quarterly business unit reports, in quarter execution reporting
  • Executive-level presentation and communication skills, confident in speaking and conveying ideas
  • Exceptional time-management skills, adept at handling multiple ongoing projects and initiatives
  • Interest in pursuing a General Manager development path is considered a strong plus

Academic Credentials:

  • BS and/or MS degree in Business Management, Finance, or Engineering
  • MBA is a strong plus
