Dean, School of Business The Dean of the School of Business Technology and Design establishes the direction and vision for the school aligned with the vision and mission of the University. A collaborative leadership style and commitment to promoting academic excellence and a positive student and faculty experience are essential to the success of this strategic leader. The Dean of the School is responsible for providing oversight for student learning outcomes and success metrics and ensuring all programmatic requirements are met for accredited programs within the school. The Dean makes recommendations around policy, people, process, and the resources needed to ensure the health of all programs in the portfolio. Additionally, the Dean plays a crucial role in directing and leading initiatives to strengthen the programs' overall health and ensure a high-quality experience for students and faculty. As the school's leader for diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, the Dean has primary responsibility for setting professional expectations for students and has direct oversight of student concerns. Furthermore, the Dean ensures the program has the support necessary to foster student development and prepare adult learners to enter the workforce successfully. The Dean of the School is the Chair of the school's curriculum and academic policy approval process and works closely with the University Curriculum Committee and other leaders in Academic Affairs and other Departments across the University.
