Instructional Designer for Ongoing Course Development Needs

Our client, a University serving students and small business owners in New York City, is seeking a Spanish-fluent Instructional Designer/eLearning Developer to assist an internal Instructional Design Manager in taking existing content to create 6-8 hours of online AI courses using Articulate Rise and Thinkific.

The course will be created in both English and Spanish. The client will use AI for the Spanish translation and will need this consultant to check the translation for accuracy (audience will be largely Puerto Rican and Dominican).

The University has multiple existing AI courses and is rich in content. The work will be choosing which modules to synthesize into what format. The University may decide it is better to offer several AI courses, but all will be extrapolated from the existing content.

Skills & Experience Requirements:

  • Must be fully fluent in Spanish (Spanish for Puerto Rican and Dominican Republic, a plus).
  • A plus: Degree in Instructional Technologies or Education, and/or Certification in eLearning.
  • 10+ years' experience in Instructional Design & eLearning Development including serving large corporations.
  • Must be highly consultative and skilled at taking content and creating an excellent learner journey and curriculum.
  • Must be highly skilled in the hands-on development of interactive, engaging eLearning using Articulate Rise (must provide your own laptop and license).
  • Must be able to screenshare excellent Rise samples.
  • Must be collaborative and excellent at working with Sr. Instructional Designers and Team Lead/Project Manager as well as clients and SME's.


Start: ASAP.

Duration: Approximately 20-40 hours (project deadline is May 6th).

Location: 100% virtual.

The pay range is $55 to $60 per hour. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, relevant education, certifications and specific work location.
