Meet the Team

Our worldwide team works with the highest tier of Cisco Customer Support (TAC), and with Product Management and the rest of the Engineering team focusing on Email Security. You'll get to work directly with customers, or with their Cisco Services teams on resolving particularly difficult technical issues.

Your Impact

As a Software Engineer you will be primarily responsible for being the engineering focal point for technical escalations for Cisco's Email Security portfolio of products. Specifically, requests from Cisco TAC, Cisco Services and/or sales account teams. You will also be responsible for:

  • Building credibility and trust within the group and with customer representatives
  • Collaborating with Engineering to improve product quality and making sure that customer needs are prioritized while considering upcoming programs in the pipeline
Minimum Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of Amazon AWS, Redshift, Datadog, Splunk or similar platforms
  • Competent in Email Security Technologies, understanding email security measures, including anti-spam, anti-virus, anti-phishing, and anti-malware technologies.
  • 2+ years of experience in programming and troubleshooting using languages and tools such as Python, Go, GitHub Copilot, tcpdump, gdb, and sed/awk.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering, electrical engineering, information technology or related technical field
  • Comfortable communicating with internal stakeholders and customer representatives alike
  • CCNA Security, CCIE, CISSP or similar industry certifications preferred
