Content Area or Department Brief Description: Work in this area builds capacity to improve the quality of infant and toddler care in local programs, communities, states, Early Head Start programs, and other countries. In California, PITC-certified trainers deliver PITC training and technical assistance on a regional basis. PITC certification deepens trainers' and coaches' understanding of how to enhance the professional development of infant and toddler care teachers and family child-care providers through the PITC Philosophy of responsive, relationship-based care and essential policies. Position Overview: The Program for Infant Toddler Care (PITC) Regional Support Network (RSN) is looking for an Infant/Toddler Specialist that would be responsible for providing training and coaching to infant/toddler center staff, groups of family child care providers and groups of family, friend and neighbor care providers requesting PITC services. Under the direction of the Regional Coordinator, the Infant/Toddler Specialist works collaboratively with each organization's administrative staff, group host, and/or contact person to negotiate and implement PITC RSN services and provide PITC training and technical assistance in accordance with the established PITC RSN policies. The position includes delivering services in Mandarin or Cantonese language remotely (in Zoom) statewide in California as well as potentially delivering services in person in the Bay Area which requires that applicants live in or near the greater Bay Area.
