An excellent career opportunity is currently available for an Insurance Specialist reporting to the Aires Pittsburgh, PA office.

This exciting opportunity will allow you to utilize your experience to manage the insurance claims settlement process from initiation to closure. The Insurance Specialist reviews documentation in advance of shipment to ensure it is complete and accurate while communicating with stakeholders to collect information, advise of policy requirements and limits, validate documents, identify exclusions, address high-value items, facilitate replacements and minimize risk.

Position Responsibilities:



  • Manages insurance claims settlement process from initiation to closure, operating within settlement authority and underwriter approval limits
  • Works with repair network to assess damages for potential repairs, schedule inspections, review damages, cause of loss and evaluate coverage.
  • Reconciles claim financials with the underwriter.
  • Reviews and audits documentation, enters information into database, and follows up on inquiries and requests
  • Liaises with the Mobility team to validate coverage, communicate coverage limits, and address other important items with the transferee and movers prior to shipment
  • Reviews valued inventories for coverage or claims issues
  • Acts as a first level response for questions and inquiries, escalates as needed
  • Provides shipment insurance services as backup to insurance support



Required Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma/GED required, Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2-3 years of customer service experience in an insurance or claims environment
  • 2-3 years of Household Goods insurance claims experience preferred
  • 2-3 years of relocation industry claims management experience preferred, if no relocation industry experience prior property, casualty or auto claim experience will be required
  • Claims Handling License preferred
  • Ability to interpret insurance coverage and review repair estimates
