Job Overview

Title: Planner Scheduler

Reports to: Planning Supervisor

Location: Kent, WA - onsite

Type: Non-Exempt, Full-Time

Schedule Type: Monday - Friday, (10:30AM - 7:00PM) with flexibility to train on 1st shift. Ability to work overtime as needed - including occasional weekend support.

Hytek production is open 24 hours per day. Normal Shifts are as follows: 1st shift (Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.), 2nd shift (Monday - Friday, 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.), 3rd shift (Sunday - Friday, 10:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.)

Position Summary

Employees in this position work to create accurate production process plans and schedules from customer supplied purchase orders, specifications, work packets, and other documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Performs contract review on all incoming customer purchase orders to ensure proper work statement flow down. This may include reviewing drawings and customer purchase orders for accuracy.
  • Builds and creates internal work orders for each customer purchase order within Syteline ERP system.
  • Establishes work order schedule for operations.
  • Accurately enter international orders into Trade Compliance OCR system.
  • Independently requests information from internal and external customers, to assist in resolving issues with customer purchase orders.
  • Crosstrain for the Certification Technician role which includes verifying all processes and worksheets are complete and accurate within the internal work order. This includes reviewing, signing, and stamping certifications in preparation for product delivery.



Qualifications

  • Must have the ability and desire to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Basic math skills are required.
  • Good proof-reading abilities and spelling are essential as well as the ability to provide extra attention to detail and maintain a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to interface professionally with customers.
  • Must be computer literate and have a good working ability in Microsoft Office products as well as ERP system experience is desired, Syteline experience preferred.
  • Must have the ability to read, write and communicate in English - including the ability to read written purchase orders and paperwork.
  • Must have a regular and dependable attendance record.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. An export license may be required to work in all areas of the facility.



Education/Previous Experience Requirements

  • 1+ year experience working in a quality environment, specifically in a production job shop.
  • Aerospace industry experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of the surface finishing industry is a plus.
  • General knowledge of aerospace specifications and blueprint reading ability.



Essential Mental/Physical Demands

Extensive use of hands in writing, use of computer and other office equipment. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. on an occasional basis. Sitting for long periods of time in a manufacturing environment. Walking throughout the facility. Noise level in the work environment is moderate. Temperatures in the work environment can fluctuate with outside weather conditions. Due to the manufacturing environment, safety glasses and hearing protection may be necessary.

Salary Range for position: $23.50 - $30.00
