Sensor Sales Engineer- Sensors & Components: IMKO products

What is the role about?

The role as Sales Engineer for IMKO products will focus on driving the business, handle and grow the current partners, running sales and training. The role is unique since it will ensure the success of our instrumentation business in moisture measurement applications through both technical and commercial support. It is strongly supported by the technical and commercial colleagues in the manufacturer's plant and will be well guided through the training phase.

This role requires a combination of business acumen, relationship-building skills, and an understanding of our products and their offering as well as understanding our customer's needs. Enjoying talking, meeting and understanding people comes in handy, as an understanding of our customers' demands is the backbone of our business.

Which tasks will you perform?

  • Establish and develop a long-term business relationship with existing and target customers, following our strategy to grow direct sales
  • Maintaining and expanding the existing customer structure for moisture products
  • Establish working relationships with principals, traveling and setting up sales calls for sales activities in the region
  • Partner with the respective business unit and manufacturing, based in Germany
  • Work closely with inside staff, based in Germany
  • Onboard, develop and grow strategic business partnerships

  • Participation in trade shows and specialist events, presenting products and applications

What do we expect from you?

You will have (required):

  • Hands on mentality

  • Open personality, embracing to immerse oneself in the world of sensors

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience is preferred

  • 3+ years of industry experience in electronics,automation, or distribution, and sales

  • Good communication and presentation skills to explain the benefits and features of the product and offerings to potential customers.

  • Must carry a strong technical aptitude and curiosity

  • Local travel is required. Occasional overnight travel required for training and meetings

  • Occasional International Travel is expected.

  • This role would require relocation to Greenwood, Indiana.

You may have (preferred):

  • Self-motivated individual with an entrepreneurial spirit.

  • Previous experience in sales and distribution.

  • Background of construction industry, civil engineering, environmental science.

  • Ability to work and make informed decisions independently and on own initiative.

  • Demonstrates moral courage by standing up for their beliefs, taking justifiable risks, addressing contradictions, and knowing when to say no.

  • Prioritizes the customer perspective in business decisions by actively seeking to understand customer needs and problems
