Production Feeder

Staffmark is hiring a dedicated Production Feeder for a busy manufacturing facility in Stanley, VA. If you are detail-oriented, have experience working with production processes, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, this is the opportunity for you!

Pay: $21/hour

Shift: 3:00 PM - 1:30 AM, Monday-Thursday (some OT on Fridays)

Responsibilities:

• Read production tickets to determine the correct materials and verify quantities for the glue spreader.
• Communicate door length changes to the Layup team to help them select the correct LB laser light.
• Make adjustments to the glue machine based on material thickness.
• Feed stiles, lock blocks, rails, and cores into the glue machine at a pace that matches the door builders.
• Record times for the first and last rail of each stack before feeding it through the glue spreader.
• Track ticket quantities, production/downtime hourly, and adjust materials as necessary.
• Set the break light prior to scheduled break times and follow all safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• 2 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting production tickets, quality specs, and understanding various door components (core types, stile/rail/block types).
• Ability to perform visual quality checks and safely feed materials into the glue machine.
• Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure up to 1/16".
• High attention to detail and ability to pace work efficiently while ensuring quality.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as required.
