Purpose, Scope & Dimension of Job:

  • Provide attractive, sanitary and safe facilities to support the strategic objectives of MCC.
  • Perform assignments in a safe, efficient, effective and professional manner
  • Measure and continuously improve quality and benchmark standards and practices against industry leaders.
  • Develop close, positive communications with departments and occupants

Minimum Requirements
Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow oral/written directions.
  • Possess manual dexterity to mop, scrub, operate equipment and climb.
  • Must possess desire to perform manual labor.
  • Must be able to work first, second and/or third shift.
  • Knowledge of methods, materials, and equipment used in custodial work.
  • Safe work practices.
  • Ability to learn to use a variety of custodial equipment, supplies and materials.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their interaction.
  • Ability to work effectively with a team.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
  • Work independently in the absence of supervision.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
Unique Aspects of Job (Optional):

  • Ability to walk, kneel, climb, stand, stoop, crouch, reach, pull and do related physical activities necessary in performing custodial work.


Physical Requirements:

  • Works on ladders up to 12 feet; often lifts 60 pounds to a height of three (3) feet repetitively;
  • Wears rubber gloves several hours per day.
  • Must be able to work in conditions that include dust, mold and a wide variety of chemicals.

Work Schedule
Two shifts available
Tuesday-Saturday 2:30p-11p
Tuesday-Friday 2:30p-11p and Saturday, 8:00am-4:30pm
