The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Program Manager to support our government customer located in San Antonio, Texas.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for managing the efficient and effective coordination and accomplishment of
    planning for various projects within JTS and the Defense Committees on Trauma (DCOT).
  • Supports and provides guidance on the analysis of activities, projects, and program requirements, coordinating with other divisions, offices, and directorates as appropriate. Presents, explains, and justifies recommended project/program management activities to the senior leadership. Recommends and/or implements projects/programs that shape or improve the structure, effectiveness, efficiency, or productivity of operations, primary missions, goals, and objectives.
  • Directs and participates in special assignments and studies in areas of critical importance of the Defense Committees.
  • Work with directorate staff members and ad hoc technical team members to ensure project objectives and deadlines are met.
  • Applies analytical knowledge and ability as well as a familiarity with all functional activities required for effective management of projects. Coordinates the activities of a combined government team of professional, technical, and management support personnel. Coordinates policy development and business rules and establishes processes for implementation of new programs.
  • Coordinate with the administrative assistant and Chair Defense Committees on Trauma on quarterly meetings.
  • Work with voting members on booking travel within DTS, provides detailed trip reports and cost-comparisons for future conferences and or make virtual arrangements.
  • Attend conferences and serve as the liaison to the DCOT Chair(s) and/or JTS senior staff in the field of trauma focusing on increasing utilization of products and resources developed from the committees and other various line of efforts within JTS. Makes recommendations and provides courses of action to top level leadership to meet overall mission requirements.
  • Coordinates with industry and other government agencies and maintains a cognizance of new theories and application of the latest technological advances.
  • Responsible for reports, surveys, seminars, targets and other efforts required to plan for achieving goals outlined by the DCOT Chair(s).
  • Prepare various reports, dashboards, graphs and other information for presentation or input to briefings and meetings
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

  • BS in Healthcare Administration or Health Sciences
  • Instructor Training / Education

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Military Medical Career experience, preferably in tactical combat casualty care.
  • Project Management

REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must have an active Secret clearance
