Overview

The Research Informatics Business Analyst will interact with internal customers, vendor staff, and team members to gather requirements, design test cases, and perform testing in support of research administrative systems or software development implementations.

Responsibilities

- Coordinate and perform testing of research software and/or administrative system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements, including preparing test cases, requirements traceability, coordination of UAT, and reporting defects.
- Partners with research institute project management to define business needs, project objectives, and functional requirements. Provide experienced-based knowledge in the design, configuration, development, and implementation of new systems, and existing system updates and enhancements. Develop, write, and communicate business requirements (including data migration) and user stories to the technical (RI Engineers, Vendor or IT) community for the design and implementation of research solutions.

- Prepare documentation of standard operating procedures, system support processes, and interface design specifications.

- Create user manuals and FAQs, and lead minor/initial training sessions with users, as needed.

- Provide Tier 2 Support for Research Systems in coordination with other primary support staff.



Qualifications

-Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related academic field and 1-2 years experience business analysis and testing experience relevant to this position implementing projects with a variety of assignments or
- Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related academic field and 3-5 years experience business analysis and testing experience relevant to this position implementing projects with a variety of assignments or
- HS diploma or equivalent and 5-7 years experience business analysis and testing experience relevant to this position implementing projects with a variety of assignments
- Business Analyst Certification Preferred
- Agile Certification Preferred

- Experience supporting or using Huron Consulting Groups products such as IRB, Grants, Agreements, etc. preferred

- Experience working in a healthcare or research environment a plus

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $29.54/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.



Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is entirely remote or work-from-home. The person hired must live in the Kansas City metro area and may attend on-site meetings, as scheduled.
