What Your Job Will Be Like:

We are seeking a Team Lead, Facilities in Structural Services.

On any given day, you may be called on to:



  • Primarily oversees non-exempt and entry-level exempt members of the workforce within the team.

  • Coordinates subordinate employee recruitment, selection, training, work assignments, recognition, disciplinary actions, and contributes to performance assessments.

  • Ensures that customer needs are satisfied by managing and coordinating specific deliverables, project plans, budgets, structures, schedules, and staffing requirements.

  • May contribute to the acquisition and development of staff resources, capabilities, and existing and future projects.

  • Serves as first responder to analyze and assess system condition during outages and after hours; and coordinates and directs a response team to make the system operational.

  • Proficient in using the Facilities Control System, in addition to other computer applications; and possesses the ability to visually operate and maintain physical systems and components.

  • Provides system operation and reliability data to system engineers, ensuring reliability and performance, and recommends technical improvements to processes.

  • Provides technical guidance and direction to craft for system operation and necessary repair. Understands the work of the team and guides the work of the project. Applies specialized knowledge and experience to independently judge work quality, performance, and alignment of results with customer expectations.



Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite.

Salary Range:

$99,400 - $164,100

*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

Qualifications We Require:



  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration or a relevant field plus five (5) or more years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE L Clearance



Qualifications We Desire:



  • Demonstrated technical knowledge in Facilities department roles.

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage and complete multiple programs and projects.

  • Knowledge of relevant Sandia policies and procedures.

  • Excellent oral and written communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of customers, including building and managing effective working relationships.

  • Technical operational and repair knowledge of assigned systems.

  • Knowledge of emergency response and restoration of systems.

  • In-depth knowledge, interpretation, and application of all applicable codes and standards.



About Our Team:

Department 4743, Structural Services provides preventive and corrective maintenance on all administrative locks, painting, building structural systems, equipment and more. The department also provides excavation and emergency support to Sandia National Laboratories when requested by the Incident Commander. In addition, our Minor Modifications team provides quick turnaround support for small customer projects.
