Job Summary:

Reporting to the Director, External Reporting & Technical Accounting, this position will interface with many corporate and operational finance teams, as well as our external auditors. Primary SEC reporting responsibilities include a combination of preparation and review of 10-Q and 10-K filings, as well as quarterly earnings releases. Primary technical accounting responsibilities include analyzing accounting issues and providing guidance to members of the finance organization, reviewing significant contracts, non-standard transactions and emerging GAAP for accounting implications, writing accounting position memos, supporting lease accounting activities, and overseeing the Company's corporate accounting policies.

Job Responsibilites:
  • Prepare and review sections of 10-Q and 10-K filings
  • Assist in researching, benchmarking, and drafting new disclosures
  • Coordinate with FP&A, Legal, and IR for the preparation of quarterly 8-Ks/earnings releases
  • Provide accounting guidance for proper recording and disclosure of business transactions and material contracts
  • Conduct technical research on complex accounting and disclosure issues
  • Prepare accounting position memos on technical issues and non-standard transactions for external auditors
  • Assist with the implementation of new accounting standards
  • Support ASC 842 lease accounting activities, including contract review, data analysis, and process improvements
  • Contribute to the review and creation of accounting policies
  • Support Controllership compliance activities, as well as participate in special projects
Job Requirements:
  • 12+ years in Accounting / Finance roles (with minimum 6 years Big 4 experience preferred)
  • Substantial experience in the review or preparation of 10-Qs and 10-Ks

  • Ability to efficiently and effectively research, interpret, apply and communicate GAAP accounting rules as they relate to various business activities and transactions

  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and collaborative skills

  • Must be able to make judgment calls on accounting / reporting issues

  • Excellent writing skills; ability to draft SEC reporting disclosures and technical accounting position memos

  • Ability to multi-task on competing and deadline sensitive priorities

  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently

  • Strong organizational skills,process-oriented, and a team player

Education:
  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Technical accounting and SEC reporting knowledge
  • CPA

Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is $145K - $216K. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU's), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
