Zayo is seeking an Optimization Project Manager to be responsible for optimizing leased access circuits, network fiber, and facilities infrastructure. Our Optimization Project Manager is also responsible for forecasting and reporting against financial targets and project goals. The successful Optimization Project Manager is required to collaborate with internal departments such as Engineering, ISP, and OSP on new deployment projects. The position may require some travel.

*We're open to this position working remotely within the United States; however, preference will be given to those in the Denver, CO and Tulsa, OK areas, who are able to work in a hybrid capacity (2 days/week in our Denver & Tulsa offices).

Responsibilities:

  • Identification of network-related expenses that can be reduced or eliminated.

  • Develop city/market plans for network capacity planning and optimization opportunities.

  • Identification of network related expenses that can be reduced or eliminated in addition to planning and managing circuit grooming projects.

  • Develop city/market plans for network capacity planning and optimization opportunity.

  • Participate with ILEC/CLEC vendor management as it pertains to developing and managing SLA/NDAs and performance reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or other related financial or technical fields, or equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum of 5 (five) years of experience working on complex, innovative projects /networks.

  • Experience with ISP Engineering highly preferred.

  • General AC & DC power knowledge in a Telecom & Datacenter environment is a must.

  • Experience in Access Planning, Circuit Design, or Billing Reconciliation.

  • Data reconciliation through database access and reporting.

  • Vendor billing reconciliation and dispute identification.

  • Experience in cost/benefit analysis, and ad-hoc reporting as needed.

  • Familiarity with SONET, Ethernet, Wave, Dark Fiber, and IP Services.

  • Experience in defining capacity-planning requirements.

  • Demonstrated investigational and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent analytical, judgment, and decision-making skills with the ability to adapt to change.

  • Ability to manage a high-volume workload efficiently and effectively; ability to multitask.

  • Fluent knowledge of MS Excel and Google Docs.

  • Experience logging into telecom equipment is a plus.

  • Experience with tools such as Salesforce, GE SmallWorld, Metasolv is a plus.

  • High-energy individual with a strong work ethic who is self-motivated.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Estimated base pay range: $78,500 - $112,100 USD/annually

The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. It takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Non- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan.

Additionally, this position may be eligible for certain benefits, such as health insurance, life insurance, disability retirement plans, paid time off.
