Manages the academic coordinator team, which provides faculty with administrative and learning management system support, according to Tuck's mission, strategy, and institutional priorities. |

The Tuck School's academic coordinator team provides essential and valued administrative and technical support to our world-class faculty. The manager hires, trains, and supervises approximately 12 full-time academic coordinators and, with input from the team and faculty, sets and strengthens the standards for the services they provide. - 3-5 years' experience and skill successfully building, strengthening, and supervising high performing teams of administrative support or customer service professionals at an academic institution or professional services firm, or comparable organization.
- Experience and skill successfully managing and optimizing complex administrative processes and workflows.
- Knowledge of business operations and communications gained through a bachelor's degree in management or a related field of study, or a combination of a liberal arts education and relevant work experience.
- Proficient in using business software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) and learning management systems (Canvas, Blackboard, or Moodle); Embraces new technologies to increase efficiency and automate processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to handle sensitive material and information with discretion
- Able to support, contribute to, and strengthen a vibrant, culturally diverse, and inclusive learning community of students, alumni, faculty, and fellow professionals.
- Able to anticipate, deliver on, and exceed the expectations of faculty, professional staff colleagues, and supervisees.

Key Accountabilities
Description |
1. Supervising and Managing
- Hires and supervises academic coordinators; determines their key accountabilities, provides coaching, and nurtures their learning and skill development.
- Conceptualizes, defines, and applies operating guidelines and service delivery standards for academic coordinators (who provide administrative and learning management system support to faculty) and class scribes (who record MBA class attendance and student participation);
- Assigns academic coordinators, according to faculty support resource needs; examines and resolves service delivery disruptions and other escalated issues; reviews, approves, and oversees academic coordinator team projects and events
- Supports the senior academic coordinator and classroom scribe manager with scribe team hiring and staffing logistics
- Collaborates with Tuck and Dartmouth colleagues to organize, manage, and complete shared projects and assignments
- Manages copyright permission usage reports with external vendors; facilitates the contract renewal process with the senior director.

2. Academic Coordination
- Coordinates classroom support and teaching activities for designated faculty (prepares course materials using Canvas or other learning management system, tracks student grades, manages audio-visual needs); plans and organizes event logistics for guest speakers and visitors; provides administrative, research, and information management assistance (responds to inquiries, drafts and proofreads materials, manages faculty calendars and contact files, makes travel arrangements, prepares expense reimbursements; conducts book, journal, article and citation searches, updates and maintains faculty website profiles and biographies; maintains files, records, and archival materials), and other activities associated with achieving academic support priorities.
