Job Summary:

Responsible for on-site, clinical demonstrations of Ziehm C-Arms to potential customers and for providing operator training to customer end-user personnel after purchase and installation. This position requires frequent and extensive, domestic and international, travel both by car and air as necessary. Position is under the direction of Director of Applications but requires regular interaction with various Ziehm sales personnel, marketing personnel, and international distributors.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:



  • Demonstrate features, benefits, and advantages of C- Arms in hospitals, surgery centers, clinics, and other end-user locations. Provide end-user operator training during new system installations.
  • Engage in presentations to customers and the compilation of information for tenders and customer evaluations
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of all Ziehm C-Arm equipment and related clinical procedures. Possess knowledge of competitive C-Arms products and their features.
  • Possess knowledge of surgical environment including sterile techniques and general safety considerations when working in Surgery and other clinical environments where C-arms are utilized.
  • Requires frequent and extensive travel, domestic and international, both by car and air as necessary.
  • Work closely with diverse group of people including customers, distributors, sales representatives, product managers and sales managers.
  • Attend to clinical workshops to operate and demonstrate Ziehm Orthoscan C-arms to attending clinicians and technical personnel.
  • Attend tradeshows as assigned and conduct tradeshow product demonstration. May also involve assisting service, sales or product management personnel with tradeshow C-arm set-up and re-packing.
  • Unpack and repack C-arm systems as may be required for installations and demo/workshop equipment transportation preparation.
  • Attend sales meeting and training sessions, as assigned, to assist in the product training of other applications and sales personnel.
  • Must maintain an excellent driving record, valid driver's license, valid passport and Company insurability requirements.
  • Must be able to handle stress positively, effectively, and in the way most appropriately for the benefit of the department and company. Able to positively respond to change and handle any other tasks assigned.
  • Position requires that Clinical Application Specialist be registered with one or more vendor credentialing services by various customer hospitals. (Registration expense to be reimbursed by Ziehm Orthoscan). This may require, but not limited to, proof of immunization for mumps, measles and rubella (MMR), Influenza, COVID and hepatitis and clean drug testing /screening.
  • Report any deviation from the established product quality standard and specification to the service department.
  • Report Any requests or other feedback by customers on how to improve the quality of the product to sales manager.
  • Position requires proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Teams and Power Point
  • Conduct product presentations to colleagues, healthcare professional and administrators
  • Provide technical and clinical support for bids / tenders
  • Fluent in Spanish (written and spoken) - mandatory
  • Fluent in Portuguese desirable


MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Education:


  • Possession of an Associate degree (AA/AS) in Radiologic Technology.


Experience:


  • Minimum of 3 -5 years as a Surgical C-Arm technologist. Training obtained from an accredited radiological technical program.
  • Previous sales and /or customer service experience preferred.
  • Assignments are sent to the Clinical Application Specialist from the Corporate office and through the Regional Sales manager, however, the responsibility to complete all phases of the assignment belongs to the Clinical Application Specialist. Progress of the Clinical Application Specialist to be monitored by the Regional and / or National sales Manager.
  • Must be self-motivated and well-organized in order to accomplish multiple tasks. Must maintain personal credit card for expenses incurred while working in the field and submit travel expense report in a timely manner for reimbursement.
  • Must maintain a clean driving record, valid driver's license, and meet company insurability guidelines.


Basic Certifications:

  • Must be registered with the American Society of Radiological technicians (ASRT) and be in good standing. Must provide copy of license upon hire and license verified before employee will be allowed to work.
  • This position requires continuing education, training as determinate by work center needs and by the American Society of Radiological technicians.

Working Conditions:


  • Extensive travel schedule of 50-75% of work time. Must be willing to travel international and domestic.
  • Extensive travel, long workdays and holiday assignments may occur but with a balance of downtime between assignments with no work.
  • Must report company expenses incurred on company credit card within the set company timeline
  • Clinical application Specialist must perform to the highest degree of professionalism in demeanor and in dress code as outlined in the employee handbook.
  • May require PPE and exposure to low dosage radiation.
  • Special care must be adhered to with regards to the use of personal protective equipment (i.e., lead aprons, thyroid & gonad shields, etc.) for protection against radiation. It is expected that employees in this position will also adhere to whatever other protective equipment the customer may require (i.e., masks, etc.).
  • The employee in this position must constantly assess and be cognizant as to the potential work center hazards (i.e., airborne pathogens, exposure to blood, needles, sutures, etc.).
  • The employee in this position works closely with users in the office environment and speaks with outside vendors.
  • This requires skill in working with people. The employee is required to use skill and professionalism when interacting with people.
  • Position may also require employee to engage occasionally to regularly with our parent company based in Europe.
  • Must adhere to all customer vendor credentialing requirements when visiting healthcare facilities.
