Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Program Associate.The Program Associate works collaboratively with the Assistant Director and Grants Manager contributing substantially to pre-award and non-financial post-award grants management and to other research administration duties as required. The Program Associate is responsible for collaborating with faculty, trainees, staff and research administration to streamline the pre-award process in a department heavily dependent on NIH and private foundation funding. To accomplish this goal they will prepare the necessary application documents while strictly adhering to requirements for research grant proposals. They will submit completed grant proposals to Sponsored Programs Administration (SPA) and sponsors in a timely and accurate fashion. This position reports directly to the Assistant Director for Research Administration. Job Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree. Effective oral, written communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to manage multiple demands, at a high pace with attention to detail. Command of written and verbal English including ability to proofread documents and write clear, concise first draft. Knowledge of standard office practices, software and equipment. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in science with 1 to 2 years of related experience. Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $45,600.00 - $60,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
