Job DescriptionCoordinate, plan, and participate in the preparation and presentation of food for tray line service.

Essential Functions

  • Ensure a safe, sanitary work environment, which conforms to all standards and regulations.
  • Supervise and participate in the production, preparation, and presentation of all foods as assigned by the Production Chef to ensure that a consistent quality product is produced, which conforms to all established standards.
  • Responsible for physical inventory and data entry, recipe management and production data maintenance and production paperwork.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Communicate effectively and enthusiastically with the dining staff.
  • Develop relationship with clients and anticipate needs and expectations.
  • Assume duties of the Production Chef in his/her absence.
  • Restricted: Sustained posture or intense attentiveness for prolonged periods. Occasional lifting & carrying of inventory (60 lbs. or less). Some walking, pushing, and pulling on a regular basis. Unpleasant Exposure Minor Hazard: Moderate exposure to dust, grease, noise, inclement weather, temperature extremes, and unpleasant but not hazardous odors. Occasional exposure to risk controlled by safety precautions. Frequency or severity is limited.

Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills

  • Culinary training from accredited culinary program, or equivalent training and experience.
  • One year related experience.
  • Ability to communicate (both verbal and written) effectively with clients, customers, and support staff.
  • Ability to multi-task and concentrate on task at hand with constant interruptions.
