Position Title: Machine Operator - 12 Hour Shifts Wage: $19.50 - $20.67/hour Shift: 12 Hours Hours: 6:00am - 6:00pm or 6:00pm - 6:00am We are hiring for a top plastics manufacturer in Madison, WI that is seeking enthusiastic Machine Operators to join their collaborative and supportive environment. Machine Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Set-up, operate and troubleshoot equipment to produce thermoformed parts to specification - Inspect machinery, equipment and tooling prior to set-up - Identify nonconforming materials/products and work with shift leader for resolution - Ensure part quality meets established standards and follow Good Manufacturing Practices - Complete shift documentation/paperwork - Go over job status and updates with incoming shift - Participate in safety programs, following established safety procedures and wearing appropriate PPE Machine Operator Requirements: - Able to lift up to 10lbs continuously (cases of product and hand tools) - Able to lift 11-30lbs regularly (3-4 times per shift) - Able to lift 31-50lbs occasionally (1-2lbs per shift) - Able to bend, stoop, reach, twist and stand for long periods of time - Able to work in warm environments - At least one year of manufacturing or related experience - Mechanical aptitude - Able to read, write, and speak English to meet training, safety and quality requirements - Basic math skills - Good computer and software skills QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
