Description

The Shift for this Position is 12:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Monday - Friday.

In this role you will support the assembly of prototype engineering parts for the Cedar Rapids Product Development teams.

Responsibilities

  • Tasks will include equipment operation, maintenance, and repair of precision machines to perform die attach, SMT component placement, PCB singulation, and material evaluation are also required
  • Other tasks may include parts kitting/inventory and organization of lab materials. These tasks are a combination of manual assembly and equipment operation and they will involve working with the aid of a microscope and tools for handling very small parts.

Required Experience and Skills

Associate's Degree or 2+ years of equivalent work experience

Microsoft Office Suite

Bench level/trouble shooting electronic equipment (DMMs, power supplies, oscilloscope)

Using hand tools (e.g., Tweezers, Vacuum pencils, Soldering Irons, Die Bonding, Wire Bonding, Test Fixtures)

Work from schematic drawings

Desired Experience and Skills

Experience with computers using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Microsoft Outlook

Experience with operation of automated and semi-automated electronics assembly equipment and some preventative maintenance of this equipment

Soldering and printed circuit assembly experience, working from engineering drawings and markups, understanding or training for handling ESD sensitive electronic components, and experience working with the aid of a microscope

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD$26.25 -$45.48 per hour. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others.
