ABOUT THE JOB

The Tepa Companies are seeking a Project Manager to manage all aspects of projects to include client relationships, schedules, budgets, quality, and profitability through comprehensive project completion. As a Project Manager, you will collaborates with project teams to ensure contractual requirements are met, quality deliverables are submitted, and client satisfaction is achieved.

Job Functions:

  • Manages multiple engineering design, planning, and technical support projects for Department of Defense (DoD) or other Federal government clients.
  • Provides daily direct project support to DoD and Federal government clients.
  • Manages concurrent project schedules and budgets.
  • Manages the project and its execution from proposal through closeout.
  • Facilitates the planning and performance of project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Oversees every aspect of the project management process including internal project staffing, securing consultants, subcontractors, vendors, specialty contractors.
  • Develops work plans and manages project staffing.
  • Manages the project team and tracks project progress.
  • Plans, schedules, and manages project timelines to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Develops and presents reports and presentations defining project progress, challenges, and solutions for clients
  • Oversees deliverable quality control.
  • Performs budget development and forecasting including estimates to complete, accounting for remaining risks.
  • Maintains communication with the project team and senior management, resolving challenges.
  • Works with technical, Proposal Management and Business Development staff to support proposal development.
  • Writes Technical Approaches and other proposal documents as required.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field
  • PMP or other project management related certifications preferred
  • 5+ years of engineering project management experience
  • 3+ years of Federal and DoD technical experience
  • Capability of overseeing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability and desire to build rapport with field staff, office staff, clientele, Tepa management staff, subcontractors
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to perform at a high level under stringent project deadlines
  • Ability to prioritize required tasks to meet multiple schedule deadlines
  • Awareness of potential clients, competition, and teaming partners
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Word, Excel and Project
  • Dedicated attention to detail
  • PMP or other project management related certifications; preferred
