Responsible for assisting Demand and Inventory Planning Manager with overseeing daily operations within the Materials Management Department.

REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • With department manager guidance, supervises and delegates daily material management tasks to ensure all customer requirements are consistently satisfied.
  • Responsible for the management and reporting of the department cycle-counting program. Investigates, resolves and reports on all discrepancies. Performs appropriate system adjustments when necessary.
  • Manages the physical and system movement of all parts and products.
  • Oversees the unpacking and examination of incoming shipments.
  • Point person for rejected damaged items, recorded shortages, incorrect documentation and inefficiently packed product.
  • Works closely with Purchasing to resolve all receiving issues.
  • Assists with department duties as needed.
  • Contributes to the development of processes and procedures.
  • Ensures that the department resources are always used effectively, and goals are met.
  • Identifies, develops, and reports departmental KPI's to Demand & Inventory Planning Manager as assigned.
  • Provides feedback to Demand & Inventory Planning Manager on any personnel issues or concerns.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Aware of and complies with the RWMIC Quality Manual and regulations & requirements as they apply to this job type/position.
  • Completes all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Demand & Inventory Planning Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years of materials management supervisory experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good time management skills, ability to prioritize workloads, and organizational skills.
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Intermediate PC skills and familiarity with all MS Office Suite products.
  • Working knowledge of SAP.
  • Experience with and understanding of multi-cultural and multi-generational differences and the ability to work within this environment is crucial for successful employment.
  • The following physical demands are required:
    1. Lift/Carry 25+ pounds
    2. Bend/Stoop/Kneel 4 hours per day
    3. Stand/Sit/Walk 8 hours per day
    4. Push/pull 50+ pounds
