WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
- Collaborate with a global team to conduct electrical, material, and mechanical investigations.
- Perform research and data analysis and influence the organization with your conclusions.
- Handle project execution with limited oversight. Coordinate internal and external laboratory resources. Develop qualification plans in accordance with Chemelex and industry standards.
- Document technical results through formal reports and seminars.
- Challenge established practices and champion innovation. Propose, develop, and drive product and process improvements and product enhancements.
- Devise and implement innovative test methods and instrumentation.
- Deploy new laboratory systems through capital investments. Contract vendors, manage build and installation, conduct commissioning and training.
- Become a subject matter expert of industry-leading brands.
- Coordinate work of interns or laboratory technicians.
YOU HAVE:
- Bachelor's degree required in Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related. Master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience with preference for polymer, electrical, and mechanical testing or R&D.
- Proven track record to implement projects that require analytical thinking and problem-solving techniques.
- Experience creating project plans and managing project execution with little supervision.
- A passion for taking initiative and devising novel technical solutions.
- Strong desire to improve processes, introduce automation, and drive value.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with emphasis on team dynamics. Experience influencing peers and reporting conclusions to management.
- Technical writing experience.

Pay Transparency
The pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
Compensation Range: $91,100.00 - $169,300.00
Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
