Student Success and Strategic Initiatives: The Division of Student Success and Well-Being (SSWB) creates opportunities for undergraduate students to thrive by providing a system of support to foster academic success, retention, and timely degree attainment. The Opportunity: The University of Central Florida is currently accepting applications for the role of Assistant Director, Academic Success Coach for the College of Engineering and Computer Science. The Assistant Director is assigned a case load of students; the Assistant Director meets frequently with each student to build ongoing coaching relationships and uses enhanced coaching and advising methodologies to: provide early integration, conduct academic planning, develop individualized academic success plans, offer ongoing coaching support, monitor student success over time, track timely degree progression, and promote student goal completion. While working collaboratively across campus with teams of academic colleges and student services partners, the Assistant Director must be knowledgeable in all aspects of the student experience to include enrollment, degree requirements, student coaching, student services, retention, graduation, and overall success. The Assistant Director is also responsible for supporting the Director in managing the Academic Success Coaches and overall office operations. Working with the Director, the Assistant Director will make data-informed decisions, deliver high-quality programs and services, and address barriers that may prevent success. This is a full-time, 12-month position. Due to the nature of the work, this is not a fully remote position, and remote (hybrid) work of any kind may not be guaranteed or may be altered as needed. The position will include training and development opportunities, and a supportive, fast-paced, exciting working environment dedicated to innovating student success and well-being! UCF's Coaching Model: The Assistant Director, Academic Success Coach (ASC) role is a newly created exciting position that combines academic advising and academic coaching. The Assistance Director, ASC will be assigned to the College of Engineering and Computer Science but report centrally in the Division of Student Success and Well-Being. Responsibilities:
