Student Health Services - Administration:

UCF Health - Student Health Services (SHS) provides various primary and specialty care services to help keep students, faculty and staff at their optimum health. The Health Center is located on the Main Campus. Our services are designed with students, faculty and staff needs in mind. Become a part of our committed UCF Student Health Team as a Student Health Compliance Coordinator and deliver outstanding care to our community.

The Opportunity:

Under direct supervision of the Director of Healthcare Compliance/Operations and the Medical Director, this position coordinates a variety of administrative tasks, and/or projects that are complex in nature and broad in objective, with an integration of diverse functions over several work units of Student Health Services.

Responsibilities:

Administrative:


  • Perform and oversee general administrative tasks for the Director of Healthcare Compliance & Operations and the Medical Director.

  • Provide administrative support to the Assistant Director, Clinical Programs and four providers as needed.

  • Manage calendars, screen calls/visitors, and process mail.

  • Assist with oversight of provider schedules, leave requests, sick leave, and timekeeping for Student Health Services (SHS) staff.


Onboarding & Credentialing Support:


  • Collaborate with the Risk Management Clinical Specialist to obtain necessary documents for provider appointments and privileging.

  • Assist with onboarding of student interns and residents (M3, PY1, and PY4) for clinical rotations.

  • Coordinate provider rotation schedules.

  • Create requests for eClinicalWorks (eCW) and PowerDMS access; assist with navigation and troubleshooting.

  • Serve as an admin user for PowerDMS, managing policy edits, assignments, and training courses.


Training & Compliance:


  • Monitor staff completion of required training and follow up on overdue assignments.

  • Create and track completion of Provider Performed Microscopy (PPM) training modules and quizzes.

  • Back-up SHS EHR Consultant, assisting with:

  • Physician training on eClinicalWorks (EHR software).

  • Running and analyzing various reports and data queries.

  • Termination of eClinicalWorks accounts.

  • System issue troubleshooting and technical support.


Querying data and generating reports:


  • Provide research support for SHS investigation clinical projects.

  • Serve on the SHS Research Committee and Laboratory Quality Assurance Committee as a Research Coordinator.

  • Assist with research projects from initiation to closeout, including:

  • Participant recruitment and enrollment.

  • Handling, packaging, and mailing samples.

  • Uploading data to sponsor repositories.

  • Supervise annual competency training to ensure Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA)-waived compliance.

  • Maintain quality control documentation for the main laboratory, health sciences campus clinic, and downtown campus clinic.

  • Coordinate day-to-day research activities, including communication, problem-solving, and protocol management.


Operational & Miscellaneous Support:


  • Provide backup coverage for SHS administrative area, including office support, supplies, and incoming calls.

  • Assist with conference room scheduling for meetings and events.

  • Conduct CLIA-waived lab tests as needed to ensure quality results.

  • Ensure timely completion of all UCF, AHSC, and SHS training requirements.

  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Director of Healthcare Compliance & Operations or the Medical Director.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Previous experience conducting clinical trials.

  • Previous research experience.

  • Current CITI training certificate.

  • Knowledge of EClinicalWorks.

  • Skilled in running reports and analytics.

  • Strong computer and organizational skills.
