This position primarily involves a hybrid work schedule - working onsite one day per week.

Role Overview:

This role manages the electronic data team. This individual will be responsible for managing/developing members of the data exchange team and implementing electronic interfaces for NYL clients in support of our products/various services. Along with direct client/tpa engagement. Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor the team to lead conference calls in a way that educated and guides the client and the Ben tech partner to create an accurate file and impacts our TAT to deliver to our clients in a timely manner. Provides guidance on solutions and what the data can power from an administrative deliverable. Manage interfaces in coherence with project plan. Work with internal partners IT, eCommerce, Family Medical Leave Operations, etc. Define requirements and drive accountability regarding deadlines. Leads the team to provide a positive client experience that sets us up for excellence.

What You'll Do:

  • Ensures achievement of all operational end to end service goals/metrics
  • Drives process improvements designed to improve our clients' experience, drives root cause analysis
  • Acts as the subject matter expert for Account Installation capabilities and provides consultative direction to functional leads for escalated issues or process changes.
  • Develops specialists through effective coaching and guidance, empowering and enabling strong leadership from each.
  • Responsible to project manage various types of incoming electronic interfaces for group products and services
  • Responsible to ensure the team is focused on implementing all interfaces based on established timelines.
  • Accountable to ensure the team is educating and guiding the client on what the data powers
  • Accountable to ensure the team is reviewing test data and provide appropriate feedback to client/TPA to ensure quality data is implemented
  • Responsible to provide consultative solutions to our clients and internal business partners as necessary based on requirements gathering
  • Monitors on-going client activity and consults with the team to ensure timelines, experience is representative of NYL goals
  • Ability to articulate programming logic to IT on file mapping and merging requirements, and drive requirements for new capabilities
  • Develop and deliver operational ad-hoc reporting accurately and in timely manner
  • Responsible to appropriately track case status to ensure metrics are being reported accurately

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of experience in insurance preferred,
  • Prior experience working with clients, producers, and/or TPA's preferred
  • Strong knowledge of life, accident, disability, and FML preferred
  • Strong planning and project management skills preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficient/advanced skill in Microsoft Excel (vlook up, pivot table, and macro) and Access required.
  • Excellent organizational skills to be able to multi-task and meet increasingly tight deadlines required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Strong interpersonal skills required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required and root cause analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results and lead a high performing team
  • Collaborate with internal business partners required
  • Demonstrated leadership and motivational skills in fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of systematic layout/NYL layout, and ability to map client file data into NYL specs
  • High level understanding of the technology; deep understanding of file processing operations
  • Combine domain, product knowledge with technical expertise to partner with IT and create automation and streamline the process.
  • Understanding the capabilities needed to drive efficiency in the data exchange process, comfortable in translating the IT needs and how it supports the process.
  • Ability to drive a execute and assist in developing technology roadmap to improve quality of service.
  • Strong leadership and partnership skills to influence other areas that enable service excellence.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Proven record of exceeding implementation and service objectives
  • Proven record of driving operational excellence within an organization, including workflow, staffing, and process improvements.
  • Experience developing client and producer relationships, preferably within the insurance industry
  • Industry experience that allows for a broad perspective of customers' needs and marketplace challenges.

Pay Transparency

Salary range:$75,300 - $120,000

Overtime eligible:Exempt

Discretionary bonus eligible:Yes

Sales bonus eligible:No

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
