PAY: $138,000 - $174,000

JOB SUMMARY: MCSG Technologies is seeking an Exercise Planner Integrated Joint Special Technical Operations (IJSTO)/Special Access Program (SAP) to support the 392d Combat Training Squadron (392 CTS) at Schriever SFB, CO. The 392d CTS provides exercise planners to lead, plan, execute, and act as the executive agent for the development and execution of USSF exercises, and USSF participation in multi-service, joint, interagency, and allied exercises. The 392 CTS exercise planners champion service-level training objectives, develop scenarios and events in support of those training objectives, and participate as exercise controllers, trusted agents, and leaders during exercise planning and execution. Location: This position is on-site at Schriever SFB, CO.

PRIMARY DUTIES:



  • Develop, plan, and execute USSF capabilities in CJCS, CCMD, USAF, and other Service exercises in accordance with (IAW) the USSF Service Exercise Plan (SEP).
  • Setup and attend planning conferences; coordinate with internal and external IJSTO/SAP and Collateral stakeholders to develop scenarios, events, and vignettes; establish execution events, timelines, and communication requirements; and determine support requirements for space and cyber activities within each exercise, experiment, or demonstration.
  • Review previous lessons learned and gather historical activity information to assist training audiences in drafting training objectives for each event.
  • Participate during exercise execution as part of the Exercise Control Group (ECG) and as a participant in the White Cell, providing oversight, management, and control of space events for the exercise.
  • Be familiar with 392 CTS current and in-development Modeling and Simulation (M&S) capabilities, and have the ability to integrate these capabilities during exercise development, planning, and execution, as applicable.
  • Coordinate personnel, funding, and equipment support (as required) with internal and external agencies (e.g., HQ USSF, CCMDs).
  • Coordinate required manning requirements with the exercise host and coordinate USSF TPFDD builds with host commands and applicable USSF offices.
  • Provide budget support to the customer including, but not limited to, projecting current and future budgets for exercises; recommending budgeting guidance for exercises; coordinating with unit finance representatives for exercise support requiring USSF funds (includes USSF units and non-USSF units); and, if required, assist in developing projections for USSF POM inputs for exercises.
  • Provide observations IAW the exercise's lessons learned (LL) procedures, develop after action reports to capture LL related to 392 CTS support to non-USSF exercises, and post AAR and LL information into the Joint Information Lessons Learned System (JILLS).
  • Attend the USSF annual and quarterly Exercise Coordination Team (ECT) meetings and be prepared to present exercise planning and participation information for supported exercises on the USSF Service Exercise Plan (SEP).
  • Prepare event-related documents (e.g., trip reports, exercise planning/execution products, after-action reports, and meeting minutes) within the organizational and host-expected time requirements.
  • Complete other tasks directed by contract leadership to ensure the success of the 392 CTS.



REQUIREMENTS:



  • Experience planning, coordinating, or executing space capabilities in exercises.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet exercise requirements.
  • Worldwide travel will be required (approximate travel: 45-90 days/year).



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • 5+ years of experience planning and integrating special space programs as part of an Air Operations Center (AOC).Experience using tools for exercise planning (i.e., JTIMS, JMSEL, JLLS, DCO, SGN, PDAS, etc.)
  • Experience planning and/or executing United States Space Command space systems in exercises.
  • Have a working knowledge of the IJSTO Review and Approval Process (RAP) and Space Control Negation System (SCNS) Concept of Operations (CONOPS) and Orbital Warfare systems.
  • Experience supporting CCMD, NATO, service-level exercises, or other Department of Defense (DoD) exercise customers.



RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:



  • 10years working in or for DoD organizations.
  • Experience operating or working with operational space systems.



EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree from an accredited academic institution.

CLEARANCE:Top Secret/SCI with Special Access Program (SAP) eligibility.
