Lead Information Architect
The Lead Information Architect directs and/or leads business/enterprise architectural activities with a focus on the effective management of company information as strategic corporate assets. They work closely with business and technology leaders to understand Enterprise and line of business opportunity areas. They translate this understanding into broad data strategies and strategic initiatives that support the development of business data models, domains, and capabilities. In this capacity, the Lead Information Architect must maintain a keen understanding of Enterprise business and technical strategy roadmaps, goals, and success criteria.
The Lead Information Architect has oversight of the design and development of Enterprise Data Models and associated domain definitions. They guide the activities of other Information Architects to ensure consistency of data models/designs across strategic and tactical programs, projects, and initiatives. With consideration of business requirements and consumption standards, they review and approve various visual imagery, models and artifacts that guide technical requirements for data infrastructure. Dependent upon the maturity of the supported business area, the Lead Information Architect will guide business leaders in the development of processes and organizational efficiency efforts that will facilitate the capture, flow, storage, and use of information to drive maximum business value. As such, the Lead Information Architect serves as a critical resource in the management of data and information as a strategic asset.
Position Responsibilities:
Data Strategy


  • Consults with business and technology stakeholders to translate business use cases and requirements into data capabilities.
  • Leads the definition of data design and capabilities required to support the Enterprise data strategy.
  • Collaborates with Enterprise architecture, data engineering and other technology teams on the development and maintenance of the Enterprise Data Model and associated artifacts required to support business strategies.
  • Serves as a data subject matter expert on strategy and/or portfolio-level initiatives that support long-term business strategies and plans.


Information Design


  • Provides oversight on data design/modeling activities that support program and project-level data requirements.
  • Ensures program and project-level data deliverables align to the broader data strategy, Enterprise Data Model, and other artifacts designed to support the Enterprise Data Strategy.
  • Accountable for the alignment of program and project-level data designs to Enterprise Data Models, domains, and capabilities to ensure consistency of information assets/capabilities.
  • Defines data patterns and standards supporting Enterprise key performance indicators and strategic metric development.


Data Governance


  • Supports Enterprise Data Governance policies and guidelines by defining and maintaining the Enterprise standards for Information Architecture, Metadata Management, Reference Data Management, and other business data standards as required.
  • Collaborates with IT on the definition of Master Data Management policies and guidelines.
  • Collaborates with Enterprise Security on Information Lifecycle policies, standards, and guidelines.

Position Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or other relevant technology degrees or High School diploma or GED with (insert number of) years of progressive Relevant Experience
  • 8 years of experience with advanced knowledge of data modeling/design
  • 8 years of experience with advanced knowledge in data strategy and architecture
  • 8 years of experience with advanced knowledge in developing conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support Enterprise-wide business strategies
  • 8 years of expience in technology and proficiency
  • 8 years of experience influencing strategy for large organizations


Preferred Qualifications:


  • 5 years of experience with Microsoft Office and expanded product lines (Visio, MS Project, SharePoint)
  • 5 years of experience in banking or related financial industries
    Proficiency in data profiling, data analysis, and data standardization / cleansing techniques
    Strong SQL skills with the ability to write sophisticated queriers across large, complex data sets
  • Experience using statistical techniques to discover the root cause of data quality issues and recommend remediation options
  • Ability to analyze data trends, identify patterns and proactively address potential data quality issues
  • Experience with Collibra, Informatica, and Snowflake (Python, R is a plus)

Work Best Category: Category C - Days in the office will either be designated days or will vary week to week from 2-5 days Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday Salary: To Be Determined Based on Individual Experience
