Summary:

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for driving the firm's financial strategy, planning, and overall financial well-being. This role works closely with firm leadership to analyze financial reports, identify investment opportunities, and implement budgeting initiatives. The CFO oversees financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Additionally, they assess and mitigate financial risks, manage relationships with lenders and investors, and optimize returns on investments. As a leader, the CFO also provides mentorship and performance feedback to the finance team to foster professional growth and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Executing the Firm's financial planning and strategy and developing the financial well-being of the organization.
  • Work closely with Firm leadership to review financial reports, identify investment opportunities, and implement budgeting initiatives.
  • Oversee the processes for financial forecasting, budgets, and preparation of all financial reporting.
  • Ensure adequate assessment and mitigation of risks as well as compliance with applicable regulatory or other legal requirements.
  • Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimiing the impact of variances.
  • Maintain relationships with lending institutions, partners and the financial community.
  • Identify investment opportunities and maximize return on invested funds by maintaining relationships with the investment community.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring and performance feedback to members of the finance team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably within a public accounting firm or professional services industry.
  • Proven experience in financial forecasting, budgeting, and investment management.
  • CPA license is a plus.
  • Expertise in financial reporting, data analysis, and strategic planning.
  • Experience managing relationships with lending institutions, investors, and key stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, compliance requirements, and risk management.
  • Ability to develop and execute financial strategies that align with the firm's goals.
  • Strong analytical skills to monitor financial performance, assess risks, and drive profitability.
  • Capability to lead, develop, and provide performance feedback to finance team members.
  • Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements affecting financial management in a public accounting environment.
  • Excellent ability to collaborate with firm leadership, investors, and financial institutions.
  • Proactive approach to identifying financial risks, variances, and investment opportunities.
  • High level of accuracy in financial planning, reporting, and risk assessment.

Compensation Range: $310,000 - $350,000 salary per year
