The student selected must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, professional environment, with a high ability to multitask and prioritize. Must have good organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with the Vice President for Research, all office staff, and division wide departments. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Under general supervision, the successful candidate will provide administrative support and customer service to staff and guests; answer phones and provide general information regarding routine inquiries; greet guests and provide general information as requested; perform routine clerical work, data entry, and/or word processing and routine filing duties. Additional duties will comprise specialized services of a routine clerical/administrative nature in strict accordance with established procedural guidelines, as appropriate to the position. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. The work schedule for the position is Monday through Friday, 20-28 hours per week, with flexibility in scheduling. Preference is 3 to 4-hour consecutive blocks of times/several days a week (i.e. 8 a.m. to noon, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., noon to 5 p.m.) to ensure office coverage. Work schedules are flexible and will be worked out with the supervisor before beginning employment. May include some work after 5 p.m. to provide event support (i.e. assist with setting up and break down). This position is semester-specific. It may be renewed subject to positive performance reviews. Direct report to the OVPR's Administrative Coordinator. Essential/Core Job Requirements:
