The State Farm Investment Department is a leading investment manager entrusted with managing over $350 billion in support of the company's auto, home, and life insurance products. The Investment Department is looking to hire an Investment Administrative Specialist in the Dallas Hub to help support the Fixed Income teams. This individual will help confirm and settle trades, trouble-shoot settlements with brokers or custody banks, maintain and distribute a weekly calendar of current and future municipal deals, and screen incoming office calls for Investment Professionals. Other administrative duties include preparing and compiling reports, coordination of travel and conference arrangements, expense report submissions, and coordination of subscription and data services maintenance. This position is based at State Farm's investment platform at CityLine in Richardson, Texas, in the fast-growing Dallas-Fort Worth metro area. The Investment Department operates a hybrid schedule with 2 in-office days per week to foster collaboration. Qualified candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance to the office.
Responsibilities
- Confirming, settling, and closing Fixed Income investment transactions
- Researching trade discrepancies and working with internal and external partners to resolve
- Maintaining, screening, and distributing weekly calendar and various reports
- Data entry and processing
- Preparing reports and regulatory filings
- Reconciling and ensuring data accuracy
- Maintaining files, answering phones, and administrative support
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years previous experience with trade settlements, back office or financial services preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- A high degree of professionalism with interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Ability to adhere to confidentiality standards
- A service orientation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products. Familiarity with Bloomberg and SharePoint a plus.
