See yourself working for an industry leading healthcare provider as an Epic Ambulatory/MyChart Analyst for our Connected Care product team, responsible for critical Population Health & consumer engagement experiences. Help develop solutions that make it easy for providers and patients to connect using digital tools. Collaborate with peers in an Agile Scrum development environment. Serve as a key contact to customers and a liaison to Allina Health, Optum and Information Services organization as related to systems support and integration of products. Play a primary support role in the development of strategic product integrations for key products and initiatives using customer feedback, stakeholder input, and data/analytics.

As an Epic Ambulatory/MyChart Analyst on the Connected Care product team, you will collaborate with product the team to ensure software is performing as expected based on strategy and user stories/requirements. You will help assess and create system and vendor requirements, fulfill system testing, support/maintain consumer care applications, standardize, and automate business processes in support of care providers and operations.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Implements, modifies, tests and administers complex business systems and applications
  • Troubleshoots and resolves issues (both user reported and vendor reported)
  • Helps manage service incidents and requests
  • Serves as a subject matter expert for technical configuration and integrations
  • Conducts analysis of business and users needs to provide appropriate systems solutions
  • Designs screens, workflows, reports, interfaces, etc. and prepares specifications for system changes
  • Lead meetings and direct team problem solving sessions
  • Manages medium and large projects
  • Develops solutions from concept to completion
  • Champions new and innovative ideas to address business units/system barriers or opportunities
  • Be the point of contact for technical questions or issues from vendors
  • Communicates internally and externally and with all levels of employees including senior management
  • Champions new and innovative ideas to address business units/system barriers or opportunities
  • Collaborates with team members and teams from other capability sub-domains to problem solve or manage projects
  • Manages multiple projects with varying timeframes
  • Performs basic cost benefit analysis and/or build vs. buy analysis
  • Participates in RFPs
  • Develops robust documentation of solutions including networking, Epic build, and architecture
  • Plans for and documents data transformation and mapping
  • Develops use case descriptions and diagrams
  • Prepares user interface design
  • Develops and presents conceptual and functional models and prototypes to users for analysis and evaluation
  • May develop data dictionary, entity relationship diagrams and meta data definitions

Required Qualifications:



  • Current Epic Certifications EpicCare Ambulatory and/or MyChart
  • 3+ years relevant work experience in business analysis or related role within the healthcare industry
  • 3+ years of experience working with Epic in a technical build role
  • 1+ years of experience working with HL7, FHIR, and APIs
  • 1+ years of experience working with operational stakeholders and/or external vendors


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with healthcare SaaS software
  • General understanding of care team workflows
  • Background in digital and or consumer experience core principles

The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
