What does a Sustainability Manager at Swire Coca-Cola do?

The Sustainability Manager will assist with the development and implementation of sustainability initiatives within operations. This key role ensures that sustainability goals are integrated into daily operations while aligning with broader corporate objectives. The manager will focus on data collection, analysis, and reporting to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to environmental impact, resource efficiency, and waste reduction, driving continuous improvement and process optimization.

Reporting to the Senior Sustainability Manager, the Sustainability Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams both internally and externally, including Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, the Swire Coca-Cola Limited team, The Coca-Cola Company, and John Swire & Sons. As a subject matter expert, the manager will help guide the company's environmental strategy, monitor progress towards Swire's sustainability goals, and lead projects that integrate sustainable practices across all levels of the business. This role balances both business performance and sustainability, ensuring initiatives that enhance operational efficiency while reducing the company's environmental impact. This person plays a central role in embedding the SD2030 framework across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Manage Sustainability Data & Reporting: Lead the collection, analysis, and reporting of key sustainability metrics to internal teams and external stakeholders. Drive accountability of accuracy and transparency in data tracking and reporting. Serve as the technical lead for Swire Coca-Cola's sustainability data management systems, ensuring effective use and integration of software tools for data collection and reporting
• Lead Sustainability Budgeting & Reporting: Lead the annual sustainability budgeting process for sustainability KPIs with relevant stakeholders within operations. Oversee ownership of sustainability data and audit management
• Cross-Functional Collaboration & Project Execution: Lead work with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability strategies into business operations, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives including but not limited to water efficiency, energy efficiency, carbon emissions reduction, and Zero-Waste Certifications. Conduct research and analysis to inform sustainability projects, provide recommendations, and lead the implementation of process improvements
• External Representation & Stakeholder Engagement: Represent Swire Coca-Cola at industry forums, conferences, and regulatory meetings. Manage relationships with external stakeholders and industry groups

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or a related field
• 3+ years of relevant experience in sustainability, corporate responsibility, or a related area
• Strong understanding of sustainability metrics, reporting frameworks (e.g., CDP, GRI, SBTi), and corporate sustainability trends
• Familiarity with sustainability-related software and tools for data collection, reporting, and analysis is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant tools for collaboration and reporting
