Additional Job Description: WVUHS System Medical Group is seeking a physician to join our community emergency medicine practice at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV. Founded in 1958, Grant Memorial Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital located in Petersburg, West Virginia. The hospital serves a multi-county area with a wide range of healthcare services, including a 24/7, 13-bed Emergency Department; Surgical Care Clinic; Orthopedic Clinic; Cancer Center; Primary Care Clinic; and the only Birthing Center in a five-county region. Petersburg is a progressive and picturesque community located in the Potomac Highlands; it's nestled in the beautiful mountains of West Virginia and known for its world-class trout fishing and hiking opportunities. Qualified applicants must have an MD or DO degree and be eligible to obtain an unrestricted state medical license in West Virginia. Candidates will have completed an accredited residency program and be board-certified or board-eligible via a recognized board within the American Board of Medical Specialties. Emergency Medicine Board Certification required. The Department of Emergency Medicine through its academic and community practices serve over 550,000 patients across 23 locations across Appalachia.
