MORI Associates is seeking a Multimedia Designer to provide remote strategic communications and graphics by creating marketing campaigns, graphics and images, and maintaining social media for the Chief Data Office in support of the NASA Enterprise Multimedia and Integrated Technical Services (eMITS) contract. eMITS is the Agency's enterprise-level contract creating and delivering multimedia and technical communications through the use of the internet, digital platforms, and IT management for NASA's Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) and Office of Communications (OCOMM). From photographing rocket launches and recoveries, to producing engaging videos, to information technology management, to using social media to share NASA's message, eMITS integrates services for NASA IT and provides NASA's communication to the outside world. JOB DESCRIPTION / FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position will include but not be limited to the following activities:
Provide graphics to enhance briefings in support of the Chief Data Officer and Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer.
Collaborate with customer and other team members to conceptualize and execute design ideas.
Create original artwork for digital image processing.
Edit multimedia content based on user feedback.
Establish communication plans and methods of communication using SharePoint, videos, newsletters, and official notices for general audiences.
Support the Communication Specialist by developing graphics, charts , diagrams, and other materials to simplify complex data for general audience.
Utilize SharePoint and Teams for storage of materials and communication paths.
Manage, edit and proof content for various multimedia platforms.
Maintain collaboration tools such as SharePoint sites, Microsoft Teams channels, libraries, task lists, workflows, and permissions to meet organizational requirements.
Provide content management support, including organizing, categorizing, and managing content within Microsoft Suite.
Design and layout eye-catching graphics, images, and icons to enhance the visual appeal of the website and social media profiles.
Ensure that web content is accessible, Section 508-compliant, adheres to best practices, and complies with U.S. Web Design Standards.
Continuously update and improve the internal (OneNASA) and external (NASA.gov) website designs based on user feedback and evolving design trends.

Remote, hybrid, and onsite positions the employee bears travel costs to nearest NASA Center for badging and issue of NASA IT equipment.

EDUCATION AND PREVIOUS WORK REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum education - BA/BS in Communications, Mass Communications, Electronic Media, Design, Graphic Design, or related field.
Minimum experience - 8 years

EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCIES/SKILLS:

Minimum Requirements:
8+ years' experience in multimedia design, software, and social media platforms.
Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills and ability to determine organizational and analytical skills.
Generate innovative ideas for graphics to be displayed across an array of platforms.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, etc.).
Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Utilize software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, and other industry-standard tools.
Adapt content to suit different platforms and media formats.
Ability to work under tight deadlines.
Capacity to work both independently and as a member of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:
Previous NASA experience.
Creative problem-solving abilities.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to receive and implement constructive feedback.
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneNote, One Drive), and SharePoint.

Salary Range: $80-90K
