Job Overview

We are hiring aDirector of Finance to join our winning team! Reporting to the Controller, Transmission & Distribution Infrastructure Strategic Business Unit (T&D SBU), and based in Aiken, South Carolina, this senior-level Finance positionworks partners with the VP/GM of the Insulators and Voltage Protection (I&VP) Business to lead the financial performance of the business. Primary responsibilities include understanding and effectively communicating financial conditions of business performance, identifying and executing improvement opportunities, ensuring compliance with policies, internal controls, and US GAAP. The role requires strong analytical, critical-thinking, leadership, and management skills, as well as the ability to adapt to a demanding environment and work well under tight time constraints.

A Day In The Life

  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making and drive business performance, ensuring key operational, commercial and financial targets are achieved.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to analyze financial data, interpret trends and identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth.
  • Manage monthly closing responsibilities for I&VP Business Unit, analyze and communicate financial results.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and corporate policy.
  • Work with internal and external auditors as required. Perform routine self-testing.
  • Execute and develop annual plan, forecasts and financial models.
  • Oversee cycle counts and annual physical inventory.
  • Evaluate capital investments, monitor spend and ensure timely closures.
  • Manage and develop team of two finance professionals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to drive process improvements and consistency across the T&D SBU.
  • Special projects as assigned.
  • Travel ~10%.


What will help you thrive in this role?

  • 7 - 10+ years of experience managing accounting-related activities in a $100M+ organization, preferably manufacturing.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis and/or business partnering.
  • Proven track record of being a strong financial business partner driving results.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles and concepts
  • Sarbanes-Oxley control and compliance.
  • Able to work within the various departments of the organization and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to develop the skills of others
  • Proficient in verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Exhibit a confident leadership presence and can effectively modify presentation styles to all levels within an organization.
  • Highly organized with an ability to work well under tight time constraints and simultaneously manage multiple tasks.
  • Experience with SAP, OneStream and Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Masters in Accounting or MBA preferred.
