Overview

Presbyterian Hospital is seeking a skilled and dedicated Cath Lab Charge Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team.

As the Charge Nurse in the CVL, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of the unit, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. You will lead a team of dedicated nurses and collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive cardiovascular services.

The Charge nurse will work with the Department Manager as a part of the management/leadership team to provide clinical and operational shift supervision of care processes which includes assisting with catheterizations and monitor/examine patients prior to procedures, as well as during and after, administer medications and assist the medical team in whatever they may need during the procedure.

Qualifications

    Associate Degree in Nursing
  • State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
  • BLS REQUIRED at time of hire
  • Minimum One year of nursing experience required
  • Specialty Certifications in area of practice preferred


Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the Cath Lab nursing staff.
  • Ensure adherence to established protocols and standards of care.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
  • Monitor patient progress and provide timely updates to physicians.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  • Facilitate effective communication among the healthcare team.
  • Participate in staff training and development programs.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
  • Manage inventory and ensure the availability of necessary supplies and equipment.
